Brief Description : Professor Gururaj is a B.E from Karnataka University, PGDM from TAPMI, Manipal and PhD from MAHE. He has close to a decade’s corporate experience, having worked in companies such as TVS Electronics, Wipro Infotech, and Digital Equipment (India) Limited. He joined the T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) as Assistant Professor in 1999 and since then, has worked close to 24 years at TAPMI in various capacities such as the Program Chair, Admissions Chair and Dean – Academics.
Professor Gururaj has teaching interest in subjects such as basic Marketing, Sales Management, Business to Business Marketing, and Personal Selling and Sales Negotiations. He also teaches a course on Pedagogy for Ph.D students. He has developed several cases on Personal Selling and Business to Business Marketing for use in the class. His cases and articles have been published in peer reviewed journals.
Dr Gururaj has trained executives and senior management professionals in the area of marketing and sales. He has handled training assignments for companies such as Infosys, Oracle, IBM, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Syndicate Bank, Corporation Bank, Axis Bank, Ashok Leyland, JVSL, MRPL, Campco Chocolates, Piaggio Vehicles Private Limited, and Globelink Weststar, Dubai. In addition, he has conducted Faculty Development Programs on the Case Teaching Method to faculty members from SIBER, Kolhapur, GBS, Hubli and Chetan Business School, Hubli.
He has also undertaken projects and consulting assignments for organizations such as Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy, Eximotek Bangalore and Shushuruth Ayurveda Industry, Dharwad.
