What one knows about a great man, is only little enough. Justice K S Hegde always stood for what is right and just. Throughout his expansive career of over five decades, he always lent his support for the best practices of judiciary and governance at both professional and personal level. Even after having lived a major part of his life in the public sphere, his choice to settle down in his native village to bring about change in the lives of the less fortunate speaks volumes for his concern and compassion

Kowdoor Sadananda Hegde (June 11, 1909 – May 24, 1990) former Speaker of the Lok Sabha, a Supreme Court Judge, and the founder of the Nitte Education Trust, had his early education in Karnataka. Later he earned himself an Economics degree from Presidency College and a degree in Law from the Government Law College, both in Madras (now Chennai).
